Cairo, Il, 4/29/2021 – Cairo School District #1 is proud to announce that Cairo Junior/Senior High School is a 2020-2021 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus.

We are excited to announce that the Chromebooks have arrived to Cairo School District #1! The Chromebooks are stable, fast, lightweight and compact, and have a much longer battery life than the iPads.

Picture day for students will be on Wednesday and Thursday, February 24th and 25th. Due to COVID-19, there will be no group pictures this year. Students do not have to wear uniforms on these days.

Remote students may come on February 25th or by appointment on March 10th. Payment for pictures will be due on Friday, March 5th. Makeup day will be March 10th.

All Cairo students will be engaged in remote learning this week from Tuesday February 16th, to Friday February 19th, due to weather and road conditions.

This decision was made in order to keep all students and staff safe.
